Leadership, Board, and Staff

SKCCH's leadership structure reflects our history as a volunteer-powered organization whose members grapple with practice and policy issues, develop positions, and take actions, in a collaborative model. There are multiple opportunities for members to develop leadership, advocacy, and collaboration skills through active involvement in committees, ongoing advocacy efforts, and special Coalition activities.

Anyone who is interested is welcome to attend SKCCH's monthly General Membership meetings from 9.00-11.00 a.m. on the third Thursday of each month at the E. Cherry St. YWCA (2820 E. Cherry St. in Seattle).

Population Committees

SKCCH has three member-led committeesthat each focus on a distinct population of people who experience homelessness. Each Committee meets regularly, and meetings are good opportunities for providers and advocates to share information, learn, and work together on special service, advocacy, or public education projects. Visit the SKCCH Committees page or contact the chairs to learn more.

Population committees are chaired by volunteer staff from SKCCH member organizations. Current chairs are:

Single Adults Advocacy Committee: Daniel Hubbell (REACH) and Josh Hicks (Plymouth Housing Group)
Youth and Young Adults Committee: Kathleen Murphy (ROOTS Young Adult Shelter)
Families with Children Committee: Tammy Money (Multi-Service Center) and Richelle Vawter (Valley Cities Counseling and Consultation)
